Rain, Rain, Go AWAY!

Last year, the summer was hot, intensely humid and occasionally rainy. This summer, there has been incessant rain thanks to the typhoon. I have almost forgotten what dry feet feel like, but that's just because I didn't purchase Wellingtons last year and seeing as I only have 2 months left, won't purchase them now. Since my last post about the weather, it has been raining every day with only one or two breaks in between. That means it's been raining for almost 4 weeks! That's a month of rain. Suffice to say, I am dead tired of it now. There has been a lot of flooding in Korea on account of the rain, but thankfully my town hasn't been badly effected.
My only relief is that at least it's warm. But the humidity does crazy things to my hair. I have a weird cow-lick thing going on and I don't like it. It's magic time again.. I'm in desperate need!

All this rain leaves me with one pertinent question - when will it stop!? MSN's 10-day weather forecast believes that next week will see sunny skies. They cannot come soon enough!
This is the road leading up to my house. For these past few weeks it has been more like a river. It's quite a shame that Korea is such a concrete jungle. This rain would do wonders for the soil, if only it could seep in. And it would do wonders for the horn of Africa, who are experiencing the worst drought in 60 years. It makes me wonder if we could ever, somehow, export rainwater to parts of the world that need it, like Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya.

When I got home this morning, my pants and feet were soaked.
But there's no use being sad. What else is there to do on a rainy day like this but make pancakes?
So that's what I did.

 Nom, nom, nom!
