Inji-Myeon, Seosan-si

This is where Clinton lives and where I spend almost half of my time. As you can see, it's far more rural than Icheon is. Clinton and I don't live in the same province. I live in Gyeonggi-do and he lives in the province south-west of me called Chungcheongnam-do. He lives just outside of the small city of Seosan-si, in amongst the rice paddies, in what is called a myeon. A myeon denotes the rural part of a city or country, has populations of between 6,000 and 500,000 people and are usually subdivided into villages.

It's really peaceful and green, and I like to spend the weekends here, far away from the hustle and bustle of Seoul. I just wish that there was a direct bus from Icheon to Seosan. Even though Seosan and Icheon are only about 120km apart, we have to catch 2 buses and it takes a lot longer (about 3 hours) to get there than it should. We have to travel from either Suwon or Seoul to get a bus in either direction, so my route usually looks like this, one way: Icheon - Seoul - Seosan. There's no direct bus because unfortunately there are just not enough people who care to travel directly from Icheon to Seosan or vice versa. But a girl can still dream.

Nonetheless, the travelling is always worth it in the end.
